Amity Baptist Church Coronavirus Response Operating Procedure

I’m writing to you in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on all of us. First and foremost, I hope that you and your families are healthy and that all of you fare well during these unprecedented times. And unprecedented they are.
As you likely know, the governor of New York has ordered an executive order stating all non-essential businesses/ employees to work remotely and people to stay in place effective Sunday evening at 8:00 PM. Therefore, all in person gatherings have been canceled effective tomorrow.
Worship Service
We will observe our regularly scheduled worship service on tomorrow. While we recognize the seriousness of this situation, we are reminded in scripture God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.
Our gathering will be within guidelines of Governor Cuomo’s prohibition of public gatherings of 50 people or less in each space. We currently have three available worship spaces. We do urge that you stay home if you feel sick; are returning from an area of the world identified as posing a coronavirus-related risk or have a compromised immune system.
